I offer one-to-one sessions with parents, caregivers, and educators.
I have worked with parents around the world since 2018. My approach is non-judgemental – I understand the pressures parents face, and how hard it can be – and my suggestions are always practical and rooted in children’s rights.
We might discuss:
- Rights-based parenting: Crafting strong, meaningful family rhythms in your home; setting up a prepared environment at home for your children to thrive in, no matter how big or small your home is; play (toys, activities, books, and laying the foundations for a playful home); parenting without discipline; rights-based parenting.
- Children’s rights and adultism: Building a rights-based culture in the home (or in an education setting); better understanding children’s rights; understanding and tackling adultism.
- Home education: Deciding whether or not to home educate; getting guidance on different home schooling philosophies; planning; practical home education support and advice.
- Navigating nursery and school: How to choose the right setting; how to communicate with the setting if something isn’t working; supporting your child outside of school.
- Anything else you feel drawn to discuss related to parenting, education, adultism, or children’s rights!
Calls usually take place on a Thursday, but I can be flexible if necessary.
Calls take place over Zoom, and after we’ve spoken I will send you a recording of our call as well as any notes or links I think would be helpful for you.
If you have a partner, they are welcome to take join in the call. If your child is cared for by a nanny, grandparent, or babysitter, then I am also happy to take calls with them; you are also welcome to share the recording with them.
To book a call:
Mentoring calls are now booked through my newsletter, Small Places. If you click here, you should see an option called ‘Small Places + mentoring’, this gives you access to all of my newsletter writing and a one-off call with me. Booking this way is excellent value for money, as for the cost of the call (£110) you get Small Places completely free.
Once you’ve booked your call, we’ll have a conversation over email about your needs. I might send you a short questionnaire or ask you for some information so that I can prepare for our call.
